Connect the Statista MCP Server to Claude Desktop

Install Claude Desktop

To try the Statista MCP Server with Claude Desktop, follow these steps:

1. Install Claude Desktop (important that it’s the desktop version)
2. If you don’t already have one; create an account
3. Open Claude Desktop

Modify configuration file

1. Under Settings, go to Developer
2. Click Edit Config

3. Open the claude_desktop_config.json file in a text editor
4. Copy/paste below snippet into the file, replace YOUR_API_KEY with the provided API Key
5. Save file

Use the MCP Server in Claude Desktop

Once your configuration file is successfully modified and saved, close down Claude Desktop and open it again.

Now, under Search and tools you should see statista enabled.
